The final decision has
been made!

The international jury of the Joseph Binder Award 2022 met at the beginning of July and nominated 66 projects from a total of 908 entries for the main prize. The Joseph Binder Award 2022 in Gold will be awarded 12 times, 14 entries will win Silver, 10 entries Bronze and 24 works will receive an award. In addition, 5 cash prizes will be awarded in the Design Fiction category, and one project from this category will receive the Henry Steiner Prize.

The winners of the trophies in gold, silver, and bronze will be announced not until November 2022 – the catalogue and the exhibition will also be presented then.

This years edition goes in search of the secrets of the creative process. Unusual perspectives, compositions, shapes, forms and compelling colour gradients arouse our curiosity: What creative solutions can we expect?

The Joseph Binder Award is an international competition and showroom with a focus on graphic design and illustration and was first launched in 1996 by designaustria, the interest organization and knowledge centre for design in Austria. It is named after one of the most outstanding graphic designers and illustrators active in Austria , who subsequently also revolutionized visual communication in the United States.
